Where is Makepeace Island?
Makepeace Island is a small island resort near Noosa Heads on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. To honour the island’s coastal wilderness, the resort hosts a small maximum of 20 guests in luxurious privacy.
Makepeace Island was named after Hannah Makepeace. She was a former resident and housekeeper of the island for almost half a century.
In 2009, Makepeace Island was developed as an intimate retreat for the family and friends of Virgin Australia cofounders, Sir Richard Branson and Brett Godfrey.
Makepeace Island opened its doors to the public in July 2011 so that others could relish the tranquillity of this special location.
